Singing lessons: What you can learn

Term one of to a great start

Kia ora everyone

Well, it's all a bit of a blur and then we are off! Lessons start next week. As many of you may know I have a 'second' life as the General Manager of Musical Theatre New Zealand. In March 2020 is our annual conference and this means that for the first 8 weeks of term Natalie Sharpe (who relieved while I was away last year) will be taking the students.

This is fantastic as Natalie has been developing her lesson skills, and I see positive change in many aspects of singing with the students in her tutorship. I am so thankful to Natalie for keeping lesson continuity for the children.

I will be back in the first week of April - conference will be over and I will resume part-time management of MTNZ and part time vocal teaching.

The beginning of term can be a juggle working around swimming, maths, and other exciting class stuff - so please bear with us while we get it all right. If you have any concerns around lesson timing let us know and we will get onto it.

Invoices will be out this week in advance of lessons - with catch ups and credits issued where lessons may be missed.

I look forward to a really positive year of singing, it is so good for us to participate in music.

Blessings

Musicals are FUN - especially at Christmas

Howdy Yal!!!!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know I am one of the lead roles in Cowboy Christmas, here at our local Riverlea Theatre; and want to invite you to get some friends, workmates or family together to join us as we see out the year.

The opportunity to get back on stage after a few years break is very exciting, and I am working with some very talented people which is inspiring.

The Christmas Show this year is both buffet dinner and show for $79 - which is a fantastic deal! The Christmas shows at Riverlea are also significant fundraisers for the theatre as well; which I am proud to support!!

This show features classic songs we all know and love; fantastic dances including the saloon girl cancan and a comedic, and at times slightly riskee, story line tying everything together. It's a transverse stage as well so the audience surround the action, which is super cool for you and super hard for us as a cast. Grab your tickets from www.iticket.co.nz - ye-haw !!!!
