Absence policy and charges

Charges:

3fifty4 Studios has not increased charging in 5 years. Rates are set at $25/half hour for a solo lesson, $17.50 for a 30 minute shared lesson, $40.00 for 45 minutes or $50 for an hour.

Lessons held at school:

Due to the 'in school' nature of singing lessons - unattended lessons due to school activity or event will still incur normal charging for lessons; where a whole school is affected a group choir lesson may be held to still allow students singing contact where practicable, or lessons MAY be held on another day if suitable.

If a student is sick they should not attend lessons and, if notice is provided via text or email in advance of their lesson, there will be no charge.

Where a student is absent from school for a prolonged period such as family holiday - if two weeks notice are provided the lessons will not be billable; if no notice is provided or contact made then it will just be treated as an unexplained absence and charges will apply.

Where a teacher is sick, the lessons will not be billable - though a catch up choir lesson may be held to make up the tuition contact where appropriate.

Where appropriate, lessons may be swapped around within a day if it will help the greatest number of students be able to attend lessons.

It is requested that parents recognise the flexibility required to ensure lessons don't interfere with key experiences and learnings that happen in school, balanced with the booking, travel to school, and time scheduled for lessons by Kirsty. Similarly the benefit of not having to attend lessons out of school hours ( which then makes them subject to school events and activities) is balanced with occasional inability to hold lessons for some students.

Lessons held privately:

Where a teacher is sick, the lessons will not be billable.

If a student is sick they should not attend lessons and, if notice is provided via text or email 4 hours in advance of their lesson, there will be no charge.

Where it is anticipated lessons won't be attended due to a prolonged absence (such as an upcoming holiday, surgery etc..) if two weeks notice are provided the lessons will not be billable; if no notice is provided or contact made then it will just be treated as an unexplained absence and charges will apply.
